Unlike traditional chemical straightening or keratin treatments, nanoplasty is gentler on the hair, formaldehyde-free, and focuses on nourishing and restructuring the hair, not just coating it. Results are longer-lasting and healthier.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
We ask that you arrive with clean hair to your appointment. Please avoid using heavy oils such as coconut oil as this will affect the treatment. If you do use these oils, we can tell and your treatment won't work as well.
How long does the appointment take?
Usually 2.5 to 4 hours, depending on hair length and thickness.
How long does Nanoplasty last?
Results typically last 4 to 8 months, depending on your hair type & aftercare routine. Nanoplasty has an accumulative effect and gets better with each application.
Can I get Nanoplasty if I have coloured or bleached hair?
Yes, Nanoplasty is safe for colour-treated and even bleached hair. In fact, it can help repair and smooth damage
It's best to colour your hair AFTER your appointment as it can slightly fade existing colour.
We ask that you bleach your hair at least 2 weeks before or after your Nanoplasty appointment.
Do I need to use special products after Nanoplasty?
Yes, you MUST use salon-quality products. This will help with the longevity of your treatment and boost your hair health! We stock a range of amazing products in salon.
Should I get a haircut before or after my appointment?
This is completely up to you!
Will Nanoplasty make my hair completely straight?
Nanoplasty can dramatically reduce frizz and smooth out curls. On some hair types, it can make the hair very straight, while on others it may just loosen curls and add shine. The result depends on your natural texture and hair condition!
Can I still curl or style my hair after nanoplasty?
Yes! You can still curl, wave, or blow-dry your hair — it’ll just be smoother and more manageable.
Is Nanoplasty safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
We always recommend checking with your doctor first, but our formula is formaldehyde-free and low-tox, making it one of the safest smoothing treatments available.
How long until I can tie & wash my hair?
You can wash your hair whenever you like! Your nano is all done the moment you leave the salon, Unbelievable, I know! We ask that you keep your hair out, or use a scrunchie/claw clip until your first wash.
Can I swim after Nanoplasty?
Yes, you can still swim after Nanoplasty. We suggest using a leave in conditioner or hair oil pre-swim to help create a barrier against the chlorine or salt water where possible but its not a major issue!
